Empower Network Releases All New Platform

By Chris Chapin

The Empower Network has just recently undergone a few modifications with the release of ENV2, the brand new embodiment of the EN blogging software. This is certainly no huge secret to those within this distinct niche, as lots of EN members have been jabbering about it for the previous several months.

And although you may well have been inundated with members aiming to advertise their links to you, there has been hardly anything covered concerning the actual improvements and features of the brand-new Empower Network blogging system.

Let's look at a few of the most significant upgrades.

Empower Network members will discover a entirely distinct product with ENV2. The whole system has been reconstructed and the change to appearance and functionality are substantial.

It is being publicized as the blog program that your Grandparents could use. Well, I've never met your Grandmother but they have undoubtedly simplified things from a blogging perspective.

The popular blogging platform, Wordpress, was the basis for the development on the initial Empower Network blogging system. This was useful yet left a lot to be desired for people who were not really technically skilled. For individuals like myself, who have been blogging for a while, the old system was fine. Yet for the bulk of new customers it was still perplexing and too much to handle and very far from "plug-and-play".

The administration and engineers at EN must have recognized this because the ENV2 platform has proven to be pretty easy to use and far more simple in comparison to the initial version. In fact, in almost 5 years of blogging I haven't found other blogging platforms that are as user-friendly.

The administrative area has been organized into four primary functions: Text post, video post, audio post and image post. Each option is chosen by a big image icon displayed at the top of the page. All the customer need do is click on the type he wishes to post, fill a few fields and that's all.

Unsure how such a thing could get any easier and still make it possible for one to make a new post. One doesn't actually even have to be able to read.

Within the all-new version they have taken out the "HTML" editor and left just the visual editor for making customizations to the content of a post. It is reasonable that people who are clever with code and who would prefer to make their post more sophisticated and extra special attributes like countdown timers or contact forms in the post may find this to be very restrictive, but for the common person I'm certain this is a comfort to not need to examine a lot of code which does nothing besides overwhelmed such people.

The smart-phone mobile app is probably the main "trick" delivered by this latest upgrade. The app is designed to provide people the ability to build their business without having to be sitting in front of their PC. Examples are offered of individuals recording a video using their smart-phone, then with a single click, uploading that video and posting it to their Empower Network blog. Effortless. Quick. Sounds really neat right? The catch is that one would need to be a customer of the Empower Network video hosting service so as to make this work. This is an added service and more cost surely, however it does prevent YouTube deleting your videos which you worked so hard on.

ENV2 was created specifically to enable synchronization between your phone, the EN blog and the EN video hosting service. Some people will balk about needing to pay for video hosting services. This is easy to understand but using free video sharing sites such as YouTube isn't a very smart thing to do for a business owner. Too much possibility of having one's account banned. No capability has been taken out for video embedding. It can still be accomplished easily with an embed code or a YT link. The video hosting service offered by EN is there if one wants to be able to do video blogging directly from their iphone with a couple clicks.

Your potential to customize will be relatively limited by the improvements, as the simplicity is the emphasis and to make it easier some functionality was necessarily diminished. One would have to figure out for themselves whether this has any significance to their business.

One of the factors that has been made a lot easier is the inclusion of photos to your blog posts. One doesn't need to align or size their photos any longer. Merely a couple clicks and the system does the remainder, scales it appropriately. Text wrapping is no longer an issue.

Unique in the all new model is something regarded an "Activity Feed", much like your Facebook feed. Empower Network customers now see a feed when they log in, which is composed of extracts of new blog posts written by other Empower Network customers to whom they are connected.

For any new content that you create now you can decide to have a fragment of that post made available to groups of your choosing within their Activity Feed. Every new post can be shown to all people in your EN group or just to specific levels of membership. This can be valuable for individuals who desire to have restricted content reserved for a particular membership level, or when the article is only relevant to certain membership levels.

One can also click a button and swipe any of the posts that they see in their activity feed and the new system will automatically post the very same to your own blog. Easy sharing. Convenient curation.

Therefore it has been made more simple, much less to know, and no doubt less annoyances for the average new blogger entering this type of activity for the very first time.
